Sofapaka were beaten 0-2 by Bandari at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
Sofapaka manager David Ouma has blasted his charges for lacking creativity and aggression during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Bandari in a match played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.
Bandari needed goals from Hassan Abdallah and James Kinyanjui to declaw Sofapaka’s paws, which kept them 12th on 38 points with two matches to play.
“We did not play well enough. We were not sharp enough to test Bandari’s defense especially in the beginning of the game,” he said.
“I think the only threat we had was the delivery by Ben Stanley that almost made Bandari score an own goal, but it was fantastic goalkeeping by Bandari,”

“We made way too many fouls. I like my teams playing aggressively which was not the case today. We only tested their keeper from set pieces but not open play!”
Sofapaka have won nine, drawn 11 and lost 12 of their 32 league games this season. The win for Bandari now means they have hit the 54 point mark and still stand a chance of finishing third on 60 points should results by other teams go in their favor.
Batoto ba Mungu will play against AFC Leopards next weekend, before finishing the season with a match against title challenge Nzoia Sugar FC.
