Quarterfinal matches would hold on Thursday, March 2 and Friday, March 3.
Uganda set a quarterfinal clash with Nigeria after securing a runner-up finish in Group B of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The eighth day of the competition also saw Congo and South Sudan secure their spots in the next round of the competition, with Central African Republic, being the only ousted team from Group B.
Here is how things panned out on Sunday.
Uganda, South Sudan settle for goalless stalemate
The Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, witnessed South Sudan, in their first-ever appearance at the U-20 AFCON, make the quarterfinals following a 0-0 draw with neighbouring Uganda in Group C.
Although Uganda dominated the early exchanges of the East African derby, South Sudan at the stroke of half-time, scored what could have been the only goal of the game, however, Felix Abishai's celebration was cut short after he was ruled to be offside.
The draw sees South Sudan finish in third position, trailing only Congo and Uganda, who are tied for first place in Group C.
They will take on Gambia in next week's quarterfinal in Alexandria, while Uganda will meet Nigeria on the same day, but in Cairo.
C.A.R. ends competition with 1 point
The Cairo International Stadium saw the other draw on Sunday, with Central African Republic bowing out of the competition, and Congo, finishing in first place in Group B.
While CAR played on the counter-attack with their long balls, Congo possessed the ball for significant periods of the game but lacked the cutting edge.
The outcome of the tie sees Congo proceed to the quarterfinal where they would take on Group C's runner-up at Suez, next Thursday.
