The midfielder sets sights on overseas adventure while reflecting on his remarkable performance for Nzoia Sugar FC and his first national team call-up.

Nzoia Sugar FC's attacking midfielder Joseph Mwangi has expressed his desire to play abroad, aiming to experience different leagues and cultures.

Mwangi, who has been a standout performer for Nzoia Sugar FC in the recently concluded 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season, showcased his football prowess with an impressive tally of 14 goals and seven crucial assists in 27 matches.

The youngster's exceptional performances on the pitch have caught the attention of football enthusiasts, prompting discussions about his potential move to foreign clubs.

"I have that desire to play abroad and to me, I can be delighted to have a new challenge outside of Kenya," he said.

Reflecting on his journey, Mwangi recalled his first call-up to the national team, Harambee Stars, for an international friendly against Iran in March.

"The feeling was fantastic, especially wearing a national team jersey," Mwangi said. "In my thoughts, I was like, yes, I deserve it. I have worked hard in training in all sessions and in matches."

Mwangi's ability to find the back of the net and create opportunities for his teammates showcased his exceptional skills and football intelligence.

As news of Mwangi's remarkable performances spread, his reputation as a rising star in Kenyan football continued to grow.

Several foreign clubs are believed to be monitoring his progress closely, eager to secure the services of this talented attacking midfielder.

If any move goes through, his departure will symbolize the club's success in nurturing and developing talent capable of impacting the international stage.
