De Bruyne has opened the door to potentially staying in England.

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has surprisingly suggested he could remain in the Premier League beyond this season, despite having already confirmed his departure from the reigning champions.

The Belgian international, who is set to become a free agent in the summer, has been heavily linked with moves to Major League Soccer (MLS) and the lucrative Saudi Arabian league.

What De Bruyne said

However, in a recent interview with talkSPORT, the 33-year-old opened the door to potentially staying in England.

When asked about his future, De Bruyne stated, "Honestly I don’t know. The decision to leave has not been long. I have to speak to them and then I will see whichever team wants me. So I don’t know. I have no idea."

His comments indicate that while his exit from Manchester City is confirmed, his next destination is far from decided and could potentially involve a Premier League rival.

During his decade-long spell at the Etihad Stadium, De Bruyne has established himself as one of the Premier League's all-time greats, playing a pivotal role in Manchester City's unprecedented success.

He has amassed an impressive trophy haul, including six Premier League titles, five Carabao Cups, two FA Cups, and the coveted Champions League.
