New Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi ready to dethrone Paris Saint-Germain.
Marseille’s new boss, Roberto de Zerbi, has established that he plans to upset the apple cart in Ligue 1 and end Paris Saint-Germain’s dominance in the French top flight.
De Zerbi exited the Brighton job at the end of last season and was on the radar of a number of clubs before Les Phoceens snapped him up.

Marseille's struggles
Olympique Marseille are the only French club to have won the Champions League; however, they are menos in the power dynamics in Ligue 1, with Paris Saint-Germain nearly monopolising the league, with eight league titles in the last 10 years. Marseille, on the other hand, last won the title in 2010.
The Olympians struggled with instability last season, burning through three managers: Marcelino, Gennaro Gattuso and Jean-Louis Gasset. They finished 7th last season, and will not play European football next season.
De Zerbi believes he can get Marseille back to the level to which they belong, stating his desire to challenge Paris Saint-Germain.
What De Zerbi said
“The people of Marseille define OM as the most important club in the country, but we need to bring back enthusiasm and challenge the dominance of Paris Saint-Germain.” De Zerbi said, per GFFN.
“I will tell the players that we must make the fans proud. Coaching Marseille is unique, you have people behind you. With seriousness and courage, I will try to bring them back to Europe.”
