Riruta 105 FC secured a 1-0 victory against a 10-man Dagoretti Santos in the Sakaja Super Cup.

Dagoretti Santos, the beloved club of Kenya's second all-time top goal scorer and former national football team Harambee Stars captain Denis Oliech, faced their first defeat in the Sakaja Super Cup on Saturday, November 4th, 2023.

In a tightly contested group stage match at Ruthimitu Primary School in the Dagoretti South sub-county, Riruta 105 FC secured a 1-0 victory against a 10-man Dagoretti Santos. Fredrick Onyango's goal in the 30th minute proved to be the decisive moment of the game.

Meanwhile, in another Dagoretti South fixture, B-13 suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Samwest. Collins Kariuki and Shadrack Gichui found the back of the net for Samwest, while Brighton Gitonga's solitary goal secured a 1-0 victory for Kitchen College over Nairobi Chapel.

Over in Westlands, University of Nairobi (UoN) Red City dominated their match against Young City, securing a convincing 3-0 win at Kihumbuini grounds. Gonda Mohamed, Enock Wanyonyi, and Makori Frank were the goal scorers for the victorious UoN team.

In another Westlands sub-county fixture, Gachie Friends showcased their prowess with a resounding 4-1 victory over Atlantic. Elly Kogo and Robert Cheruiyot both scored twice to secure the win.

Moving to Embakasi South Sub-County, FC Barca emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over Cyprus, courtesy of Joel Mureithi's early goal in the 4th minute. In another match, Dream Team displayed great resilience, coming from behind to defeat Green Santos 2-1, with goals from Hope Otieno and Isaya Morara.

At the same venue, Corinthians triumphed over Bokastars with a 3-1 scoreline. Stephen Analo, John Andere, and Fredrick Achola were the goal scorers for Corinthians.

In Dagoretti North, The Sants celebrated a hard-fought 2-1 victory over The Blues at Gatinqa Primary School. Tom Stephen and Nyabal Gabriel found the back of the net for The Sants, while Derrick Mulima scored a consolation goal for The Blues.

In Ruaraka, Mathare City secured a comfortable 2-0 win against Homeboys, while Baba Dogo United triumphed over Ajax Rock City by the same margin at Drive Inn Primary School.

The ongoing fourth round of fixtures will continue on Saturday and Sunday, November 4th-5th, while the fifth and final round of matches is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th, featuring midweek clashes.

The knockout stage of the Sakaja Super Cup is set to commence with the Constituency Quarter Finals on November 11th-12th, followed by the Constituency Semi-Finals from November 15th-19th. The Constituency Finals will take place on November 20th-21st, followed by the Inter-Constituency Draws on November 25th-26th.

The Inter-Constituency Knockout Round 1 is scheduled for November 29th-30th, followed by Round 2 from December 2nd-6th. The Quarter Finals will be held on December 10th, followed by the Semi-Finals on December 12th. The Third Place Playoffs are scheduled for December 16th, with the Grand Finale set to take place on the same day.
