Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba could be set for a sensational move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad after receiving a mouth-watering offer to join the club this summer
A move to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards for Juventus’ French midfielder Paul Pogba after the former Manchester United star was spotted in the facilities of one of the biggest clubs in the country.
Details of Al-Ittihad’s offer for Pogba
Pogba, who was only able to amass six Serie A appearances in the 2022/23 Serie A season due to injury setbacks, is believed to be a major target for Saudi side Al-Ittihad.
Rumours of a possible move to the Saudi Pro League have intensified after the Frenchman was seen in Saudi Arabia and even posted pictures of himself in the country on his Instagram.
Further details of a possible move to Al-Ittihad have now been revealed by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who alleges that Pogba has been offered a whopping €100 million per season to become the club’s latest signing.
It is believed that Pogba could be tempted by the offer of a deal until 2026, which will see the Frenchman earn up to €300 million in total to play in the Saudi Pro League.
Pogba mulling on Al-Ittihad decision
A video also emerged from Pogba’s visit to Saudi Arabia, where the Juventus man was asked to choose between historical Saudi sides Al Ahli and Al Ittihad, to which he replied, “I don’t know, we will see.”
A decision by the 2018 World Cup winner on a possible transfer to al-Ittihad is expected in the coming hours, but sentiments are strong that he could be willing to make the move to Saudi Arabia, while Juventus will not stand in the way of a possible move.
The Italian side would be willing to get a large chunk off their wage bill, especially given Pogba’s disappointing return to the club, and would also receive financial compensation that could aid their bid for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Pogba could join fellow French stars Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante at Al-Ittihad if he decides to move this summer to make up a very interesting team for next season.
