Ancelotti remains optimistic about Real Madrid's ability to turn things around despite recent setbacks.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed support for Kylian Mbappe, who has been facing a challenging period both on and off the field.

The French forward was recently omitted from the French national team squad for the upcoming Nations League matches.

Ancelotti acknowledged that Mbappe is going through a difficult phase, but he remains confident in the player's ability to overcome these challenges.

"Mbappe is down but not out. He's motivated and training well," Ancelotti said.

The Real Madrid manager also addressed the team's struggles, including the heavy 4-0 defeat to Barcelona and the 3-1 loss to AC Milan.

He emphasised that the entire team, not just Mbappe, is going through a tough period.

"The problem he's having is everyone's problem. We haven't hit our stride yet. You can't let your head drop, you have to hold it high," Ancelotti stated.

Ancelotti also declined to comment on Mbappe's exclusion from the French national team, stating that it was a decision for the national team coach to make.

"I haven't spoken to him about this issue and I'm not going to. I don't have the right to judge the decisions of the French coach," he said.
