Former AFC Leopards midfielder Duncan Otieno has attracted the interest of two Zambian clubs after parting ways with Botswana side Gaborone United.

Otieno joined Gaborone in August 2022 having switched from the Zambian Super League club Lusaka Dynamos.

The Kenyan midfielder is now a free agent after leaving the Botswana giants on mutual consent and he is said to have attracted the interest of two unnamed Zambian clubs.
Otieno was a key player for the team when he signed, alongside Kenyan compatriot John Mark Makwata, but had seen his playing time reduced before the two parties cut ties.

The player had two stints with AFC Leopards, the first coming between 2014 and 2015 when he made 20 league appearances, scoring one goal, and the second from 2017-2018, featuring 59 times for Ingwe after a short spell with Posta Rangers.
He would ditch Leopards for Zambia where he signed for Nkana FC and played for one season before a move to Lusaka Dynamos.
Otieno, who can play in both midfield and defence, signed a two-year deal with the seven-time Botswana champions but left before the conclusion of his contract.
Zambia has been a favourite destination for a number of Kenyan players and is currently home to former Gor Mahia players Samuel Onyango of Kabwe Warriors, John ‘Champe’ Ochieng, and Dennis Ng’ang’a, who both play for Zanaco FC, goalkeeper Ian Otieno of Zesco United, defender David ‘Calabar’ Owino of Napsa Stars and striker Jesse Were, who turns out for Kansanshi Dynamos FC.
