Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen endured a rare off-night in front of goal as his 100th appearance in the Serie A for SSC Napoli ended in frustration against Torino.
The Nigerian striker, who spearheaded Napoli's first Serie A title win in 33 years last season, drew a blank at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as the champions were held 1-1 by the coachless Bulls.

While it was ultimately two points dropped for Napoli, this was still a night for Osimhen to savour as he brought up a century of appearances in Naples' famous sky blue shirt.

The towering frontman has been a revelation since his club record €75 million move from Lille in 2020, embodying the beautiful style that has made this Napoli vintage one of the most entertaining in recent memory.
After an up-and-down first season, Osimhen has exploded into life with the Serie A side - his blistering pace, strength and predatory instincts making him virtually unplayable on his day.

With 26 goals from just 30 starts, he has eclipsed Diego Maradona, Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain to cement himself among the all-time Napoli greats after leading the club to a league title.
It may not have been his night against Torino, but Osimhen can reflect on joining an elite club of centurions at the tender age.
And with the Scudetto already secured, he is sure to have many more memorable nights in Napoli's famous colours starting with the next chapter against LALIGA champions, FC Barcelona, in the Champions League.
