Manchester City did a comeback against Crystal Palace to earn a victory as they continue their chase for a Champions League spot.

The Citizens have struggled this season, with their recent game against Manchester United ending in a goalless draw.

However, they were able to get a 5-2 victory over Palace despite going down to two goals early in the first half

As it happened

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made three changes to his side that drew at Manchester United last Sunday.

Chris Richards came into the back three for Guehi as manager Oliver Glasner’s only change to his starting line-up.

Just eight minutes into the start of the first half, Eberechi Eze gave Crystal Palace the lead, slotting the ball from the back post.

The visitors doubled their lead shortly after from a corner kick that Ederson failed to punch, and Chris Richards was able to head it into the net.

However, Man City got back into the game with quick succession goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Omar Marmoush just before halftime.

The game turned around in the second half, with James McAtee, Mateo Kovacic and Nico O’Reilly scoring to give City a three-goal cushion and winning the game 5-2.

With the win, Guardiola’s men moved to fourth position on the Premier League table, above Chelsea, who are yet to play.
