The South African team took an early lead, but the Nigeria Women Football League Champions refused to be deterred as they fought relentlessly and scored two late goals to turn the game on its head.
The winning goal arrived deep into stoppage time, ensuring a dramatic and well-deserved victory.
The West African Football Union (WAFU) B champions topped the Group with seven points, after defeating CBE 3-0 in their fisrt game before sharing spoils with Egyptian club FC Masar in their second group-stage match of the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League.
With the qualification into the semi-final sealed, Edo Queens are guaranteed to earn $350,000 while the winner will earn $600,000 (a trillion naira).
The runners-up will go home with $400,000, while third place gets $350,000, along with other monetary incentives.
Edo Queens will battle TP Mozambe in the semi-final on Tuesday, November 19th.
