The Falconets forward joined the Chinese league from NWFL
The Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership side Edo Queens, forward Joy Jerry, has joined the Chinese Women's Super League side, Changchun.
The former Bayelsa Queens captain and Falconets forward joined the club on a one-year deal with an option for a two-year extension.
The player had a successful medical after she arrived in China on Sunday.
Jerry, who was transferred from the league champion Bayelsa Queens in November, shone for the Benin-based team, the Edo Queens, scoring once to help them finish first in the first round.
Jerry help falconets to make history at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup
Jerry was instrumental in helping Nigeria's U-20 women's team at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
The Falconets became the first African side to win all group-stage matches to reach the quarterfinals before losing to the Netherlands.
She joins Tosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Deborah Abiodun, and Mercy Idoko as the fifth member of the Falconets to get a job abroad with her transfer to the Asian country.
