The Nigerian superstar made his long-awaited return after a spell on the sidelines
Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke made a return to action after three months out injured as Sevilla claimed a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Girona.
Ejuke, who suffered a knee injury in Sevilla's loss to Barcelona in October was finally able to play again after coming on as a late substitute after only recently resuming training.
Sevilla come back to win as Ejuke returns
Despite Isaac Romero’s early penalty miss, Sevilla managed to take all three point from their trip to Girona with a solid 2-1 win.
The home side took the lead with nine minutes to go in the first half as Arnau Martinez opened the scoring to send Girona into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Sevilla came out of the half-time break with renewed vigour and were back level before the hour mark as former Atletico Madrid man Saul Niguez found the back of the net.
With the match headed for a draw, Sevilla grabbed an unlikely winner in the 88th minute through Dodi Lukebakio after Saul went from scorer to provider.
