Ekiti United suffered heavy defeat to newly Promoted side, Madiba
Ekiti United head coach, Kehinde Anjorin, has disclosed his disappointment over his team's loss to the newly promoted side, Madiba, in the Nigeria National League opener.
Pulse Sports reports that NNL debutants Madiba FC started their campaign in the Nigerian second-tier league with an impressive win after they defeated Ekiti United 3-0.
The Nationwide League One champion thrashed NNL Landlord at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan, Lagos, on Tuesday.
Anjorin blamed referees for poor officiating
Reacting after the game, Anjorin told Pulse Sports that his team will bounce back and work on the lapses.
The gaffer blamed the referees for poor officiating and overprotecting the hosts.

“It was a bad result, but still, I’m not bothered because it is just the first game of the season.
“I don’t complain much about referees officiating because I saw what the referee was doing and I want our league to grow.
“My players played according to the instructions I gave them, and their performance was spot on, but the referee caused us to lose the game.
“We are going back home to prepare for our next game, and I am confident we will bounce back stronger."
