Multiple verdicts ranging from NPFL fixture adjustments to stadium sanctions, and even responses to appeals of already sanctioned teams, were addressed by the IMC on Wednesday.
Three clubs Nigeria Premier Football League clubs Lobi Stars, Enyimba and Abia Warriors have had requests for the readjustment of their league fixtures denied by the Interim Management Company (IMC).
On Wednesday, the IMC issued multiple verdicts concerning the league, ranging from fixture adjustments to stadium sanctions, even responses to appeals of already sanctioned teams.
On the issue of fixture adjustments, they cited the need to preserve the integrity of the season's schedule in a bid to prevent future fixture congestion.
Requested fixtures to be rescheduled
- Lobi Stars vs Dakkada - Saturday, February 11
- Abia Warriors vs Wikki Tourists - Saturday, February 11
- Enyimba vs Shooting Stars - Wednesday, February 15
IMC demands matches to hold as planned
Group B leaders Lobi Stars had requested a change in date for their Game Week 7 match against Dakkada, while Abia Warriors asked for a change in date for their match with Wikki Tourists.
For record champions Enyimba, they had placed a request to have their Week 8 match against Shooting Stars, shifted. However, all requests have now been denied with all teams mandated to play their games as at when is expected.
Abia Warriors who will not play at the Umuahia Township, are, as a result, expected to play host to Wikki Tourists at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
Lobi Stars on the other hand have been told to make the necessary preparations in order to play their Week 7 which is originally meant to hold at the New Jos Stadium, as scheduled.
Lobi Stars temporarily currently shares the New Jos Stadium with fellow tenants Nasarawa United, and landlords Plateau United.
