Enzo Maresca’s men were stunned at Stamford Bridge despite taking the lead.
Former Fulham and Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has had his say on the Cottagers’ 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
Chelsea vs Fulham
Enzo Maresca’s men took a 1-0 lead through Cole Palmer, but Marco Silva’s side responded to falling behind, scoring twice through Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz in minutes 82 and 95, respectively.

Fulham’s success against the Blues ended the Cottagers’ wait for success at Stamford Bridge since winning 2-0 in October 1979.
Former Chelsea shot-stopper believes Robert Sanchez did not cover himself in glory on the visitors’ winning strike in second-half stoppage time, citing the Spaniard’s poor clearance.
“Robert Sanchez looked to hit a massive diagonal and he doesn't hit it properly,” said Schwarzer.
“That enabled Fulham to hit them on the counter and players were caught out of position - the goalkeeper has to look at himself, it was a poor clearance.”
What next for Chelsea?
Maresca’s side return to Premier League action against Ipswich on Monday, December 30.
