Haaland had a chance to put the hosts back in front eight minutes into the second half, but the forward was thwarted by Jordan Pickford's save and had a headed finish soon after ruled out for offside.
It stayed that way, with Guardiola’s troops failing to close the gap on Liverpool, who host struggling Leicester City on Boxing Day.
Robinson believes Haaland felt the pressure of the moment, and the retired shot-stopper believes Pickford’s antics put off the Man City man.
“Jordan Pickford is good at putting pressure on strikers," said the former Spurs goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live. "Erling Haaland must have felt the pressure there, this place went silent.
“A decent save but a really poor penalty. He doesn't whip it around like a left-footer should. A poor penalty, but a good save.”
