Ahead of Manchester City's clash against Liverpool, striker Erling Haaland has given an update about his fitness after being a concern for many following his injury while on international duty with Norway

Manchester City star forward Erling Haaland has eased fitness concerns with a post on social media hinting that he will be ready to play for the Cityzen’s in their Premier League fixture against Liverpool this weekend.

Haaland fitness scare ahead of Liverpool match

Haaland has been a major fitness concern for Manchester City ahead of their crucial Premier League match against Liverpool after suffering an injury while on international duty with Norway.

The Manchester City forward appeared for Norway in the first of two Euro 2024 qualifiers against the Faroe Islands in the last international window but missed the second game against Scotland as Norway failed to qualify for the 2024 tournament.

His absence against Scotland was a source of concern as the striker was completely ruled out of the fixture, while Manchester City’s match against Liverpool was billed to take place just six days later.

Haaland gives fitness update on social media

Concerns over Haaland’s fitness for the Liverpool match were allayed by reports from the Norway camp that the injury that ruled him out of the match against Scotland was not too serious, and the message was echoed by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Haaland himself has now gone a step further to promise his participation in the match against Liverpool with a message on social media platform X.

The striker posted a picture of himself in training with the caption, “See you tomorrow!” referring to the match against Liverpool.

Haaland has been important for Manchester City this season, leading the team’s scoring charts with 18 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions and will be hoping to better his tally when they Cityzens battle Liverpool this weekend.
