The set piece specialist believes that a draw should have been a fairer result as the FKF Cup holders lost 1-0 to Kariobangi Sharks.
Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Estone Esiye bemoaned the lack of ruthlessness in front of goal in the 1-0 loss to Kariobangi Sharks as he called on his side to be more clinical in subsequent games.
Homeboyz were cruelly set crashing down to earth with a sucker-punch counter-attacking goal in the dying minutes of the match after a corner kick by the FKF Cup champions was turned over by Sharks, before they managed to get all three points.
The game had been very even with neither side managing to create inroads in the other's half, and it had to take until substitute Julius Masaba got on the end of a killer five-pass move, on the break to get the winner, sending the Sharks faithful into delirium.

FKFPL Julius Masaba the hero as Kariobangi Sharks gnaw Kakamega Homeboyz with last-gasp goal
Benard Masaba was the hero as Kariobangi Sharks overcame Kakamega Homeboyz in stoppage time to give them all the three points.
“Our games against the Sharks are always tight. Most of the time, we have always been beating them but this time, they played well and deserved all the three points,” Esiye told Pulse Sports.
“At the end of the day, a draw should have been a fair result but credit to them, they played well.”
Esiye is usually very crisp with the accuracy of his freekicks and corner kicks, and at one point, one of his freekicks found Brian Chala who headed the ball into the back of the net, but the goal was sensationally disallowed for offside.
The midfielder has challenged his teammates to do much better in their next assignment and become more clinical if they are to stand any chance of achieving their objectives for the season.
“It was a 50/50 game. We have not been clinical, but in the next game, we will be much better than against Sharks fingers crossed.”
The defeat means Homeboyz remains ninth on 11 points. Eight behind league leaders Posta Rangers.
