‘Everyone was egoistic’ - Ex-Fenerbahçe chief hails Osimhen's performance despite team playing poorly

Former Fenerbahçe Sporting director, Rıdvan Dilmen, has hailed Victor Osimhen's performance in Galatasaray’s win over Bodrum FK.

Galatasaray secured a 1-0 victory over Bodrum yesterday, keeping their unbeaten run in the Turkish League intact.

However, the Turkish champions struggled to get their rhythm despite Bodrum being reduced to 10 men.

Osimhen, who has been in top form, could not get his name on the scoresheet but was instrumental in his team's attack.

Dilmen speaks about Osimhen

Osimhen has impressed Dilmen, even if the Nigerian striker did not score during the match, but he was not happy with the Istanbul-based team's performance.

He told HT Spor via haber sari Kirmizi, "Galatasaray's concentration was zero and I saw that they underestimated the opponent. Bodrum FK's capacity was also clear.

"What was surprising was that I have never seen Galatasaray look so scattered since the beginning of the season.

"It was a match where everyone was egoistic except Victor Osimhen. The one who saw the goal took a shot.

“The attacks did not work either. Osimhen passed the ball even when he was supposed to take the shot."

Osimhen had a great chance to increase the score six minutes after the hour when he faced the goalie but passed it to Hakim Ziyech, who had to tap the ball into an empty net but surprisingly missed it.

The game's lone goal came from Mitchy Batsuayi, who headed the ball in after Dries Merten's cross to give himself two goals in his last two games.
