Manchester United's captain Bruno Fernandes reacted to the victory over Leicester City.

Manchester United star midfielder Bruno Fernandes stated that the club were on a path to change and a return to their previous status as one of the best clubs in the world after their 3-0 victory against Leicester City

The Portugal international scored once and assisted two others as the Red Devils tore apart the Foxes. After the match, he praised their performance and gave a fair assessment of what the result meant for them.

What Bruno Fernandes said

The past week has been the aftermath of an incredible change at Manchester United as INEOS decided to part ways with Erik ten Hag.

They named Ruben Amorim as his replacement, but Ruud Van Nistelrooy took charge of the team in an interim basis, and the victory against Leicester was his last match in charge before Amorim’s resumption.

Following the match, Bruno thanked Van Nistelrooy for his contribution to the team, and he gave hope to fans of the club, preaching light at the end of a dim, long tunnel.

“It was a long time that I wasn’t scoring and now goals are coming in the last few games,” Bruno said, per the BBC. “Another clean sheet was important for us to bring back the fortress we had here. We have to keep doing that and we have to improve.

“Ruud van Nistelrooy fills the club; he loves the club; he wants to bring joy to the players. He brought everyone with a smile to the games; he just wanted us to enjoy it. We wanted to say goodbye as a manager for him properly because he did good things for us.

“It’s a new era; a new manager means everything changes but what hasn’t changed is that this club has to get back to where it belongs."
