Local authorities, along with a team from a charity specialising in social psychology, spent nearly 18 hours negotiating with the man, who had a rope tied around his neck, intending to jump to his death.
While on a walk with his wife, Sofi Balbi, on Saturday, Suárez encountered the situation and decided to assist.

Eventually, with help from the emergency services and the charity team, the man was safely brought down by 5:00 PM on Saturday, avoiding a tragic outcome.
