The former Tusker striker criticised mediocre sports facilities and lackluster leadership
Renowned former Kenya international Bonface Ambani has expressed his concern over the deteriorating state of stadiums in the country.
In a strongly worded statement, Ambani criticized the prevailing trend of accepting mediocre facilities and praised handouts, urging Kenyans to demand higher standards and hold their leaders accountable.
"We have lowered our standards so much, especially in sports sections, that when people build mediocre stadiums we will clap and praise them," Ambani wrote in a social media post.
"When you vote them in, they lie to you... and when they get to those policy-making positions, they sleep on their jobs and wait for elections to come and once more lie to you."
