Despite his happiness in Turkey, persistent transfer rumours suggest a return to Serie A could be on the cards, with Juventus reportedly eyeing him as a potential marquee signing.
Osimhen’s electrifying form at Galatasaray
In just nine official appearances in all competitions, the Nigerian star has notched an incredible 8 goals and 4 assists and is currently one of the most lethal forwards in Europe.
Galatasaray supporters, however, have been vocal about their frustration with constant transfer speculation surrounding Osimhen.
Their concerns are understandable given the star forward’s importance, especially with Mauro Icardi ruled out for the rest of the season by a long-term injury.
Despite Osimhen’s declarations of contentment in Turkey, his loan contract includes a €75 million release clause, making him an attractive proposition for Europe’s elite clubs.
Adani backs Osimhen for Juventus move
Former Juventus player and current pundit Daniele Adani has added fuel to the transfer fire, suggesting that Osimhen would be the ideal replacement for Dusan Vlahovic should the Serbian striker depart.
Speaking to Tuttomercato, Adani said, “If Juventus chooses to change the centre forward, for me they will go and get Osimhen.
“[Christian] Giuntoli [Juventus’ Sporting Director] has already had him in Naples. He knows the Italian championship and Osimhen knows how to win the Scudetto.
“He has physical strength and in a championship that goes at a slow pace, he is truly disruptive. A clear confidence, not to be discovered, and then there is his motivation to return. In my opinion he is the first choice. Vlahovic leaving? Number one choice Osimhen.”
Osimhen’s experience in Serie A, where he played a pivotal role in Napoli’s title-winning campaign, makes him a prime candidate for a return to Italy, but for now, Galatasaray fans will hope to see their star focus on continuing his stellar form.
