Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been handed a 56-day driving ban after admitting to speeding.
The incident occurred on March 5th of last year when Maguire was caught on camera driving his Range Rover at 85mph (136kph) in a 50mph (80kph) zone on Wilmslow Road, under the Manchester Airport runway.

According to Sky Sports, the case was heard at Bolton Magistrates' Court.
The 31-year-old did not appear in person, but was represented by a legal representative.
In addition to the driving ban, Maguire was fined £666 and ordered to pay £120 in court costs and a £266 victim surcharge.

Manchester United have decided to extend the contract of centre-back Harry Maguire amid the club's recent poor form.
This isn't Maguire's first speeding offense. The court heard he already had three penalty points on his license from a previous incident in 2021.
He also incurred another three points just two days after the March 5th offense for a separate speeding violation.
The 31-year-od England defender was offered a speed awareness course for the subsequent offense but was unable to attend due to being out of the country.
