During his time at the UPL record champions, Koukouras had recommended Zungu before the club’s top management opted for Jackson Magera.

Former StarTimes Premier League managers Petros Koukouras and Hassan Zungu will work together at Rwandan club Kiyovu SC.

Koukouras and Zungu will serve as head coach and assistant coach, respectively, ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Previously, Koukouras worked as SC Villa manager in the UPL before he was sacked in June 2022, whilst Zungu was recently the deputy of Wasswa Bbosa at Gaddafi FC.

The Rwandan outfit appointed the Greek tactician in June 2023, and Koukouras brought Zungu on board to deputize him.

During his time at the UPL record champions as the head coach, Koukouras had recommended Zungu to be his assistant before the club’s top management opted for Jackson Magera.

Kiyovu is no stranger to Ugandan talent. It was recently home to Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi, midfielder Muzamiru Mutyaba, and forward Erisa Ssekisambu.
