Chelsea cruised into the FA Cup fourth round with a 5-0 win over Morecambe at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca put out a much-changed side as Chelsea battered Morecambe 5-0 to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Chelsea vs Morecambe: How it happened
Despite an early penalty miss by Christopher Nkunku, the Blues eventually broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through Tosin Adarabioyo's deflected strike.
Morecambe goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne had kept Chelsea at bay until Adarabioyo's effort finally found the back of the net.
Before the goal, Enzo Maresca's men had created several decent openings, including Christopher Nkunku's penalty miss and Tosin hitting the woodwork from a corner.
Morecambe posed a rare threat on the counter, but Filip Jörgensen effectively dealt with the visitors' aerial attacks.
After the break, Nkunku made amends for his earlier penalty miss by scoring Chelsea's second goal, effectively ending the contest.
Tosin sealed the win with an exceptional long-range strike, his second goal of the game, before Joao Felix added a brace to complete the rout. Felix was also denied a penalty late on and the Blues' convincing victory was capped off by Axel Disasi's goalline clearance, ensuring a clean sheet.
