Like Uganda champions, Galaxy qualified for the African Champions League group stages for the first time in 2021–22.

Former Vipers Sports Club head coach Miguel da Costa was appointed Jwaneng Galaxy head coach on a three-year deal after leaving Vipers in 2018. However, he had a short spell with Galaxy.

Miguel Da Costa guided Vipers Sports Club to triumph in the 2017-2018 Uganda Premier League trophy.

Diamond Mines

According to the Guardian Sun, Jwaneng Galaxy is supported by the Debswana diamond mining companies located in the town of Jwaneng.

"Debswana Managing Director Balisi Bonyongo, General Managers of Jwaneng and Orapa mines Milton Albert and Bakani Motlhabani concur on one fact.
