Fenerbahce struggled to get past French side Lyon as they were held to a goalless draw in Turkey.
The result 0-0 draw saw Jose Mourinho’s team rooted in 19th place in the UEFA Europa League table and losing the chance of an automatic qualification.
As it stands, their chances of qualification for the playoffs lie in their hands, as they have to win their last game of the round.

Jose Mourinho celebrated a big win with Fenerbahce thanks to an impressive display from his Moroccan star Youssef en-Nesyri.

Super Eagles star Bright Osayi made the starting lineup for Jose Mourinho and was deployed as a right wingback, while Tadic and El Nesyri led the attack.
Fenerbahce started the game brightly and had several shots but failed to get any of them on target, ending the first half in a draw.
The host came into the second half in need of a goal but could not get past the Lyon defence, who held their ground.

A lot of attempts and chances were created to break the deadlock but were to no avail, leaving Mourinho’s men frustrated.
Lyon held their ground until the final whistle, blocking every avenue for Fenerbahce to get the winning goal.
