The group of Ultras embarked on a march against the controlling BlueCo, who own a majority stake in Chelsea

Anger grows as Ultra Boys 90 calls for BlueCo to sell RC Strasbourg Alsace amidst financial turmoil.

Financial Turmoil at Chelsea and RC Strasbourg Alsace

The financial woes of football clubs are under the spotlight once again as Chelsea's parent company, BlueCo 22, announced staggering losses of £653 million ($832.71 million) after tax for the period between March 2022 and June 2023. Meanwhile, Premier League club Chelsea reported losses of £90.1 million before tax during the same period.

BlueCo, led by American businessman Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, acquired Chelsea in 2022 and later became shareholders of French club Racing Strasbourg. Despite the significant losses, Chelsea managed to reduce their deficit compared to the previous year.

While Chelsea saw an increase in overall revenue to £512.5 million, their on-field performance suffered as the men's team finished a disappointing 12th in the Premier League. This resulted in a decrease in domestic broadcasting share, contributing to a decline in broadcasting revenue.

Fan Protest Against BlueCo Ownership

Ultra Boys 90, a prominent fan group of RC Strasbourg Alsace, has intensified their protest against BlueCo's ownership, citing dissatisfaction with the consortium's management and recruitment strategies.

They argue that BlueCo's focus on U21 recruitment is detrimental to the club's competitiveness and sustainability.

Call for Change

In a strongly worded statement, Ultra Boys 90 called on BlueCo to sell RC Strasbourg Alsace to a new owner who can prioritize the club's interests and values. They expressed concerns about the club's future under BlueCo's ownership and demanded immediate changes to the sporting policy.

Ultra Boys 90 has organized a protest against BlueCo's ownership, inviting fellow supporters to join them on March 31st before the match against Rennes. They aim to voice their rejection of BlueCo's management and advocate for the club's independence and sovereignty.

As Chelsea and RC Strasbourg Alsace grapple with financial challenges, fan discontent continues to grow against BlueCo's ownership. The call for change highlights the importance of transparency, accountability, and supporter involvement in football club management.
