Despite Opta’s prediction, AC Milan have never lost a European game against Inter.
The UEFA Champions League’s second semi-final is on the cards on Wednesday as Italian rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan are set to face off.
The first semi-final – between Real Madrid and Manchester City – remains a balanced affair after a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Milan derby is expected to be a close fought duel, but the Opta supercomputer has predicted a slight win for Inter; 39.2%. Milan, on the other hand, have been handed a probable win at 31.7%, while a draw is tipped to occur at 29.1%.
Inter are also the favourites to proceed to the final, and such a chance has been considered to occur at 62.1%.
Milan are participating in their seventh Champions League semi-final, but this is the first since 2006-07. They’ve lost the first leg in each of their last two – against Barcelona in 2005-06 and Manchester United in 2006-07 - although they did manage to come back and progress to the final in the most recent.

The Premier League record-breaking star had the fewest touches of all the starters in Spain.
It’s just the third time Inter have advanced this far in a Champions League season. They lost the first leg in 2002–03 against Milan and were eliminated, while they won the first leg in 2009–10 against Barcelona and went on to win the competition that season.
This will be the fifth time Milan and Inter have faced each other in European competition, with Milan unbeaten across the previous four (W2 D2). They previously met at this stage of the Champions League in 2002-03, with Milan progressing to the final on away goals; 1-1 on aggregate).

Inter have kept a clean sheet in six of their 10 matches in the Champions League this season, while they’ve never previously managed seven in a single campaign in the European Cup or UEFA Champions League.
On the other hand, Milan have only conceded one goal in their last six matches in the competition, with that lone strike coming in the 93rd minute against Napoli last time out.
