The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association football boys’ champions St. Mary’s Secondary School Kitende, will face Kibuli in the group stages of the East Africa Secondary Schools game.

Kitende was drawn against the defending champions in Group B together with Ecosemusabura from Rwanda and Kiwira Coal Mine from Tanzania.
The fifth team will be determined after the Kenya national qualifiers are done.
Group A has the host CGFK Kicukiro, Kalangala SS (Tanzania), two Kenyan schools and Ugandan debutants Amus College and St. Henry’s College Kitovu.
Kitende is the record champion of the trophy after winning it thirteen times.
They last won it in 2019 before the Covid break but were dethroned by Kibuli in Arusha, Tanzania, last year.
