Lagos-based Ikorodu City and Shooting Stars scored a combined seven goals to navigate the round of 64 with ease.
NNL club Ikorodu City will continue their fairytale journey alongside NPFL side Shooting Stars in the Federation Cup on Wednesday.
Ikorodu produced a performance of authority to dispatch Crusaders FC in the round of 64 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Youngster Farouk Salami was at his inspirational best again for the Oga Boys after another goal involvement in the 3-0 win.
Farouk shines for Ikorodu City again
The forward opened the opening in Owerri with a smart finish to extend his brilliant form.
He has now contributed three goals (1 goal, 2 assists) in his last three matches for the Oga Boys.
Ikorodu’s fantastic captain, Sebastian Godwin, netted the game's second goal to add to his Lagos State FA Cup MVP award at the weekend.
Toheeb Gidado wrapped up proceedings in Owerri for the Lagos side as they qualified for the round of 32.
Shooting Stars survive Adami
In Lagos, the Oluyole Warriors survive a second half scare from Adamimogo FC to reach the last 32.
Ayanrinde Samuel was the star of the day after he scored a first half brace inspired the Warriors to 4-1 lead.
Ibrahim Ajani opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before two goals in two minutes through Samuel wrapped up the game for Shooting.
There was still time for another goal as Damala Promise added a fourth after Ada pulled one back.
However, Shooting Stars begged for the final whistle as their visitors made things difficult in the second 45 as they pulled two more goals back.
Shooting dug deep and made it through to the last 32.
