According to FIFA, in addition to the guaranteed participation payouts, an extra $475 million (£368.1 million) will be available as performance-based bonuses.
The team that performs best throughout the tournament and wins the trophy, will receive the maximum payout of $125 million.
Manchester City, who won the UEFA Champions League in 2023, will be one of the top contenders for the prize.
Due to their global appeal and commercial strength, the Premier League giants are expected to receive a higher share of FIFA’s financial distribution model, which has been developed in collaboration with the European Club Association.
FIFA has also emphasised that all revenue generated from the competition will be reinvested into club football through prize money, rather than being absorbed into the organisation’s coffers.
An additional $250 million (£193.7 million) is projected to be distributed worldwide to support the sport’s growth at all levels.
FIFA has already secured lucrative sponsorship and broadcasting deals, ensuring the competition will be a major financial and sporting spectacle.
