The mascot's name is a beautiful blend of "Taíno," referencing the indigenous people of the Caribbean island, and "Ana," meaning "flower" in the Taíno language.
TANÍ™️ isn't just visually stunning, it embodies the blossoming talent and spirit of the young female footballers who will compete in this historic tournament.
It is especially significant as they'll be the last group to play in the current format, a biennial competition with 16 teams.
From 2025, the U-17 Women's World Cup will expand to an annual event featuring 24 teams.
The mascot will be a familiar sight at matches held in the two host cities: Santo Domingo, where the Felix Sanchez Stadium will come alive, and Santiago de los Caballeros, where the action unfolds at the CFC Stadium.
