President of the World Football governing body, FIFA, Gianni Infantino, is a happy man after hitting an interesting social landmark.
Infantino has become the first FIFA president to reach one million followers on Instagram.
The Swiss-Italian administrator has taken to the social media platform to share the occasion with his followers.
FIFA president celebrates
Infantino, 53, took to his Instagram page to celebrate by thanking everyone who has followed him to help him achieve the milestone.
The FIFA boss added that having reached the million mark, it’s time to have fun.
“A big thank you tp everyone who has followed me here,” Infantino posted on his Instagram page.
“There is much more to come. Now, we will start to seriously have fun,” he added.
Infantino joined Instagram during the history-making 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in December.
It’s taken him just eight months to hit over one million followers as his popularity in the game continues to soar to new levels.
