The English defender joined the Serie A giants in 2021 and already has a Serie A medal
AC Milan’s Canada-born England international, Fikayo Tomori has spoken of his desire to win European football’s top honours with the Ronssoneri and has reminisced on his best moments in the competition so far.
Tomori has already been crowned Serie A champion with AC Milan after helping them to their first league title in 11 years, but his appetite is clearly not sated by one club trophy.
Tomori hoping for more silverware with AC Milan
Ahead of Milan’s crucial UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match against Tottenham, Tomori spoke with OneFootball about his aspirations for the future, saying, “Obviously, a dream is to win the Champions League. To win the World Cup, win the Scudetto again, win every trophy possible that I can with Milan as long as I’m here.”
The 25-year-old Englishman also remembered with pleasure his first goal in the competition for Milan which came against Liverpool and how much that moment meant to him.
“I remember when I scored against Liverpool and looking back, I have to remind myself that I’ve scored for Milan at San Siro in the Champions League.
“Those things are crazy to think about. This is what I used to watch people do and now I’m doing it.” he said, also reflecting on the special nature of the competition saying, “When you’re preparing in those last few minutes before a game and you hear the whole stadium sing ‘the champions’, it gives you goosebumps every time.”
Tomori's injury doubt for the Tottenham game
Tommori hopes to go into battle with Milan against Tottenham on Tuesday, looking to take another step towards achieving his dream of winning the UCL.
Tomori has been a mainstay in the Milan team this season, as he was last season and continues to grow as a player in one of the biggest teams in the continent.
He has started all of Milan’s UCL matches, bar the one he was suspended for, but his involvement against Tottenham is in doubt after he missed the last three weeks with a hip injury.
Should he be declared fit enough to play, he should be in the starting line-up as he is one of the most important players in the team.
