Former Super Eagles head coach Samson Siasia has officially ended his 5-year FIFA ban and is available for a coaching job.

The Olympic silver and bronze medal-winning coach Samson Siasia was banned by FIFA from all football-related activities for life in 2019.

Given Siasia's noteworthy accomplishments in Nigerian football, the football community was taken aback by this decision.

However, Siasia's lifetime sentence was lowered to five years after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

According to Ojora Babatunde on X, “Free at last - Samson Siasia’s 5 years ban is officially over today.

“The 57-year-old gaffer, who was initially banned for life for allegations of match-fixing by FIFA, got the ban reduced to 5 years by the Court of Arbitration for Sports following his appeal. What Next for Sia1?”

Siasia's five-year suspension is ending today, capping a difficult time for the respected coach.

The Super Eagles legend has continued to uphold his innocence over the years, reiterating his dedication to the game and his goal of making a positive impact on football.
