"Fisayo is very dynamic and very strong. At his best, he is a very, very good player. He's a box-to-box midfielder. He can get forward and get himself a goal but he is also more than capable of doing the defensive job."

Wilkinson pointed to Dele-Bashiru's performance against Chelsea's youth team in 2019 as an example of his immense potential when playing at his peak level.

"We played Chelsea last year and he was the best player on the pitch by a mile but he didn't get back to that level for a while," the coach revealed.

"It is just about trying to sustain that level day in, day out and that is the challenge all young players have."

While praising Dele-Bashiru's physical gifts, Wilkinson also highlighted the need for the youngster to find greater consistency.

"Fisayo has got loads of potential. If he can play like he did that night at Chelsea, then no one will be able to touch him. It is now down to him to convert the bags of potential he has into becoming a proper professional and being consistent every week."
