Anticipation builds for the upcoming FKF Cup as registration nears closure, with Kakamega Homeboyz set to defend their title in this prestigious tournament.

As the clock ticks towards the closure of the registration window for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup, the federation has issued a reminder to clubs about the impending deadline.

The registration period, which began on December 15, 2023, is set to end on Friday, January 5, leaving unregistered clubs with limited time to complete their applications for the upcoming season.

With the draw scheduled for January 17, 2024, the anticipation is building for what promises to be an exciting tournament.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the FKF urged teams interested in participating to hasten their registration processes.

"To participate in the tournament, kindly submit an application via the provided link and remit a participation fee of Kshs 30,000," the federation stated.

This call to action is a crucial step for clubs aiming to be part of this prestigious tournament, which not only offers bragging rights but also a coveted CAF Confederation Cup slot and Ksh2 million in cash prize.

To complete the registration, clubs are required to send in their filled application forms to the federation along with a scanned bank deposit slip bearing the club's name.

The FKF Cup is scheduled to kick off with round of 64 matches on January 27 and 28, 2024.

The tournament structure then progresses through various stages, including the round of 32 on February 24–25, the round of 16 on March 30–31, and the quarterfinals on April 27 and 28.

The excitement will culminate in the semi-finals on May 25 and 26, leading up to the grand finale on June 6, 2024.

Last season's edition of the FKF Cup saw a diverse mix of teams battling for glory.
