FKF Premier League footballers will be super grateful this season as Football Kenya Federation have announced a short-term broadcasting partnership with Tanzanian broadcaster, Azam Media Limited, which will help give the players the much-needed exposure until the end of the season.

In a statement made by FKF CEO Barry Otieno, the federation revealed it was grateful for the partnership, saying it would benefit the league financially.

The deal will see all the 18 FKFPL clubs receive Ksh300,000 and will take effect immediately, with the matches pitting Kariobangi Sharks vs Tusker and Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards, scheduled doe Saturday and Sunday respectively.

“Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is pleased to announce that it has entered a short-term broadcast deal with Azam Media Limited,” the statement read.

“The federation is grateful for this partnership and wishes to thank Azam for their support and commitment in the commercial development of Kenyan football, this even as both parties continue to engage on the possibility of entering a long-term partnership that is mutually beneficial.”

It will be the first time the league has been broadcasted since StarTimes TV pulled out of broadcasting the league in 2021. Azam will be using the remaining games of the season to test the waters and sustainability of the deal.
