Naivas coach explains what went wrong in loss to Sofapaka during first leg of FKF Premier Legaue playoff.
Naivas coach Collins ‘Korea’ Omondi has revealed a big worry about his charges heading into the second leg of the FKFPL promotion playoffs against Sofapaka set to take place next Sunday.
Naivas lost 1-0 at home to Sofapaka in the first leg, and have plenty of work to do to turn around the game in order to seal promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history.
They created numerous chances but failed to maximize on them, and in the end, were punished by a lone Jacob Onyango goal in late in the match.

FKF Premier League Playoff: Jacob Onyango the hero as Sofapaka take first leg lead over Naivas
Jacob Onyango, who was introduced early in the second half, scored the decisive goal in the dying minutes of the game to give Spfapaka an advantage ahead of the second leg.
Speaking to the media after the match, Korea, who was previously coach at Mathare United, has explained what exactly went wrong in the first leg.
“To be honest, we created chances but did not score. We were also carried away in many moments. Situations where we should have taken shots, we kept on passing. We tried to be too pretty.
“We have to find a way to become more efficient in training. The main problem has been failing to score goals. Creating chances but failing to score is worrying. For over seven games now.”
Korea believes that the return leg is a must-win match, even though they have their work cut out to stand a chance of securing a positive result.
“It is a disadvantage for us but there is a second leg and there is an away goal aggregate, where I now have to win at all costs away,”Omondi said.
“However, I should not force it. I should also not concede so I can have a chance in the second leg against Sofapaka.
Naivas will be playing Sofapaka in the second leg next Sunday, 14th July at the Dandora Stadium.
