The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold the draws of the U-17 Women’s and U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday.
Nigeria's Flamingoes and Falconets will know their foes for the U-17 Women’s and U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The draws will formally begin the route to the two world women's football events in 2024, and the event will take place on Thursday at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo.
Qualified Nations
Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa, DR Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia are the 24 other African nations that have been confirmed for the draw for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers.
While for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, Nigeria's Falconets and 34 other Nations confirmed for the draw are: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, DR Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eq. Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Sao Tome, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
Draw Format
During the U-17 process, Two (2) teams compete in the first round. The two teams were chosen based on how they performed in previous U17 Women's World Cup competitions.

Second Round: The second round will feature the first round's qualified teams as well as the twenty-three (23) teams who were exempted. 12 teams will make it through to the third round.
Third Round: Six teams will advance to the fourth round after the third round matches between the 12 eligible teams.
The six qualified teams will compete in the fourth round, which will qualify three (3) teams for the U-17 World Championship.
The CAF also provided information about the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Qualifier Format.

Alongside the Nigerian girls, includes four Ghanaian players and one Burkina Faso player.
The first round has six teams. The six teams were chosen based on their involvement in previous U20 Women's World Cup tournaments.
Second round: The 29 teams which were exempt from the first round, together with the 3 qualified teams from that round, will compete in the second round. The third round will include 16 qualified teams.
Third round: Eight teams will advance to the fourth round after the third round matches between the 16 eligible teams.
The eight qualified teams will compete in the fourth round, which will advance four teams to the fifth round.
Fifth Round: The last round of qualification for the U20 World Cup will feature the four qualified teams.
