Everton in the Community is currently in Nakuru as part of club's Social Corporate responsibility (CSR)
Nakuru County Government wants to partner with English Premier League side Everton FC to administer a program to develop grassroot football in the county.
This was revealed by deputy governor David Kones when he received Everton FC Community Volunteers at the county headquarters on Thursday.
Kones said Nakuru wants to develop football in the country and would be grateful to work with Toffees to benefit the youths in the area.
"Make this day a turning point in Nakuru county, let us be in the world map by bringing the Everton Football Club here to play with the local teams and help to develop football, stadiums and academies," Kones stated.

The Everton FC Community Volunteers are in Nakuru for a seven-day visit in search of areas of partnership with the county in developing sports, especially football, in the local community.
The group of 23 has been engaging local people from diverse communities, emphasizing young people and individuals looking to develop their skills.

The group, led by Katie Bramhall, also visited schools in Nakuru, where they did different activities such as teaching, cleaning, and sharing cultures and ideas.
Other critical areas of proposed partnerships are Brand Exposure, Sports Tourism, Community Engagement, Sports Facility development, Talent identification and development, and Youth Development.
The team is expected to leave Nakuru on Monday after accomplishing their ten-day mission on their second trip in the country.
Five years ago, a 20-strong group from Everton in the Community also journeyed to Kenya, leaving a long-lasting legacy through their inspiring work.
