Mikel speaks on Mudryk’s situation
Mikel has recounted his own experience during his days at Chelsea, following Mudryk’s failed drug test.
He said on the Obi One podcast, “For him (Mudryk) and his family, I hope he is innocent. I remember when we were playing, if someone is offering me something, I will ask you what it is.
"I’m responsible for what I put in my body, what I eat, and stuff like that. But for now, Mudryk is innocent until proven guilty.”
Mikel has emphasised the need for players to exercise caution when it comes to their diet in light of Mudryk's circumstances.
He stated that throughout his time at Chelsea, colleagues and friends offered him unusual performance-enhancing medications, but he turned them down.
Mudryk would be the first Chelsea player to test positive for doping in a long time if he is found guilty and could face up to a four-year ban.
