Pardew speaks on Arsenal title chance
Pardew thinks Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz will be essential to Arsenal's success if they are to win the Premier League this year.
Pardew lauded Arsenal's growth in his talkSport column, saying they now "look like winners" and are "bigger, stronger, smarter, and meaner."
He highlighted the group's mental toughness, seeing it as a major area of growth under Arteta's leadership.
According to Nowarsenal, he said, “Kai Havertz has been nothing short of brilliant so far this season.
“The timid forward who arrived from Chelsea is gone; he’s been replaced by a fired-up front man who will do anything to help his new family.
“Havertz is working tirelessly to hold up the ball, link play, and has significantly improved his finishing. He now looks and plays like a proper centre-forward.
“Saka is performing with serene confidence. He’s created more chances than anyone else in the division, has the second-highest number of touches inside the box, and only three players have taken more shots. Every time Saka has the ball, you feel something is going to happen.”
Meanwhile, Saka was substituted in the second half of England’s loss to Greece following a slight injury.
The winger was later sent back to Arsenal for further assessment as the club looks to monitor his situation.
