The Greek returns to football management a year after he was sacked by Uganda Premier League outfit Villa.
Former SC Villa head coach Petros Koukouras has acquired a new role as a manager at Kiyovu Sports Club in Rwanda.
The above development has been confirmed on both the club and the tactician’s Twitter handles, respectively.

Kiyovu has recently been home to quite a number of Ugandans including Mike Mutebi and Jackson Mayanja as head coach and deputy respectively.
Mutebi and Mayanja were sacked at the Rwandan club just after four months into their respective roles.
Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi had a one year stint at Kiyovu between 2021 and 2022. The striker declined a new contract and left the club after the expiry of his one year contract.
Muzamiru Mutyaba left Express in 2021 and joined Kiyovu but he has since left the club for Gor Mahia in Kenya.
Erisa Ssekisambu was also at Kiyovu recently but he was released by the club despite being their top scorer with 10 goals.

Ssekisambu was the team’s top scorer with 10 goals, but these were not enough to give Kiyovu the league title.
Koukouras had a stint with the South Sudan assistant coach in 2019 while he also managed at Pacific Heroes FC in Ghana.
