Uzoho and Super Eagles: What happened

The shot-stopper and his Super Eagles teammates endured another disappointing outing in the FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria went, saw but failed to conquer its hosts the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the second match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Rwanda.

The Super Eagles once again came from behind to force a draw, with Uzoho conceding a remarkable 35-yard screamer from Zimbabwe’s Walter Musona.

Kelechi Iheanacho came to rescue a point from the bench, with the result leaving Nigeria’s World Cup hopes hanging in the air after just two matches.

Following the performance and result against the Warriors, Nigerians blamed the goalkeeper for the goal.

As reported by Pulse Sports, they did not hold back in their criticism after the game in Rwanda.

Pulse Sports checks on Monday showed that the Omonia Nicosia stopper had deactivated his account ‘Uzohof’ on X.com, formerly Twitter.

Summary

While the reason for his decision remains cloudy, it may be connected to the game against Zimbabwe as Nigerians begin to worry about being spectators in another World Cup.
