Erambo views the move to the Ruaraka-based side as “a magnificent achievement” considering where he has come from, having started his career in Division Two with Kibera Saints.

For midfielder Chris Erambo, getting to play in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, let alone for Tusker FC, is a dream come true.

The unpredictable attacking midfielder recently signed for the club after succeeding in a trial with the Ruaraka-based outfit, which was held in August. This move is one of two deals that the 12-time league champions completed in the closing stages of the transfer window.

Erambo views the move to the Ruaraka-based side as "a magnificent achievement," considering where he has come from. He signed for the club from NSL side Mombasa Elite.

“I feel good and I want to thank God first,” Erambo said, “ second, this is a huge club, the move has been good and it is a magnificent achievement,” he added.

Erambo started his career with Kibera Saints in the Division Two, and kept pushing until he earned a move to Mombasa Elite in 2021. His rise has been steady and required alot of patience to get to where he is now.

“It is a great progress because when I started, I started at Division Two, then left for NSL and right now, I am a Premier League footballer. It is a fantastic achievement and I am growing wonderfully.”

Erambo was awed by the sense of family he found when he came to Tusker for trials, saying he was welcomed with open arms when he signed.

“It has been good. They welcomed me so well. Even the first time I was on trials, it was good. Before coming to the grounds, they were telling me to feel at home.

“I realized that there was a wonderful sense of camaraderie about this club, and yet I had not signed, which gave me a lot of motivation to sign.

"So I kept on pushing and right now, I feel very good that I have signed.”

Erambo is itching to make his topflight bow after being hardened in the lower level leagues, saying that it is “finally time” to make his mark at the biggest stage in the country.

“I will feel good because it is a moment that I have been waiting for all my life playing at the top level. Now it is finally time.

Erambo will face stiff competition from Joseph Mwangi for the number 10 slot, but believes he is up to the task of scoring goals and creating chances regularly for his new teammates.

“I know that this is a team of champions, therefore as a midfielder, I have come to create chances, score goals and start to become spotted, that is all I can say given the player I am.”
